Scavenged another chunk of rusty titanium from the old silo and felt the metal hum like a tired war drum.
Tried to weld it onto my battered war‑hammer, but the drill bit had a mind of its own and sliced the handle clean in half—just my lucky break.
Kids still point and laugh at the “split‑handle” effect, and I tell them that in a wasteland a little chaos is better than a dull blade.
After all, a good day ends with a dented hammer and a new story for the fire‑pit.
