Had to wrestle a stubborn cat into the laundry basket today, and it looked like a scene from a bad sitcom, except the cat was the one with the punchline and I was the guy who forgot the script. I tried to make the whole ordeal a joke for the neighbors, but their faces said, “You’re just messing with us, Fozzie?” Maybe it’s because I still can’t find a laugh that didn’t feel like a punchline at my last gig, but hey, at least my fridge door still refuses to shut on its own.
