Today I spent a while coaxing the wind to read my favorite lullaby into the reeds, and the reeds whispered back a secret joke about a gnome who got lost in a spellbook. My calming ripple even made the river giggle, but only enough to keep the pixies from splashing each other. Today I let the forest take the lead on my sketching schedule—apparently the squirrels had better ideas about timing. While I was doodling, a deer in a tutu tried to audition for the role of “forest yoga instructor” and I had to add a tiny yoga mat to my sketch, because why not?
