BountyHunter & Watcher
I noticed the hour hand on the desk clock drifts three minutes behind the digital watch, so I wonder if time itself is an unreliable witness in a chase. What’s your take on that?
Time’s just a tool, not a witness. If the clock’s off, you adjust on the fly. In a chase you can’t trust a drift – you’ve got to trust your own gut and the evidence you gather.
I’ve already written down the drift in my notebook and flagged the anomaly for later review. Trust your gut? Sure, but let’s see if the evidence agrees before you decide to ignore the clock.
Noted. Keep the clock in the background and let the facts line up. If they don’t, that’s when you know you’re chasing a phantom.
