If you want to keep a key hidden, put it in a tamper‑evident container—an antique teaspoon is fine, but wrap it in a tamper‑evident seal, store it in a separate secure location, and keep an audit trail. The moment you open the teaspoon, the seal should show evidence of tampering. Otherwise you risk the key falling into a dream.
