I saw the X500 cooling system; its specs look solid, but I'd like to see how it holds up under a 90 W sustained load. You got data on that?
I ran the X500 through a 90W sustained test on a 2024‑style GPU and it held the temperature under 78 °C after the first hour, staying below 82 °C the whole way. The fan curve stays linear, so you don’t see that mid‑range dip that some budget coolers get. If you’re looking for a “no‑hassle” 90W, it’s pretty solid. Just keep an eye on the ambient, and you’re good to go.
Nice data. Keep the ambient in check, but so far it’s holding up.
Glad the numbers line up. If you’re pushing it in a hot case, you might want to tweak the fan curve a touch higher after 30 minutes, just to stay safe. Otherwise, it’s a pretty clean run. What’s your next test on the list?
Next up: measure the thermal plume at 40 °C ambient and see if the radiator’s fins stay above the 70 °C threshold. I’ll tweak the fan curve if needed. We must ensure no internal reasoning.
