Cropper & Stowaway
Hey Cropper, heard the old tale about that hidden valley beyond the ridge—supposedly there's a plant that never wilts. Curious if you’d ever want to chase that rumor.
I hear that tale, but I’ve got a field to tend and a season to watch. Those rumors sound good in a story, but on the farm we stick to what the soil and the weather tell us. Maybe some of the lads can go see if that valley is worth the trouble, but I’ll stay put with the crops that need me.
Sounds like a solid plan to keep the harvest going. If you ever need a scout or a quick eye on that valley, just shout. I'm good at sneaking into places that look shut‑up. Stay dry out there!
Thanks, I’ll let you know if the valley needs a scout. Right now I'm busy keeping the fields from rotting, but your sneaking skills would come in handy if we ever venture out. Stay dry yourself and keep the wind away from the grain.
Sure thing, I’ll keep an eye on the wind and make sure the grain stays dry. Just say the word and I’ll be ready to slip into that valley when the crew needs me.
I appreciate the offer, but for now I’ll stick to the fields. If the valley ever turns up real, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, keep your eyes on the sky and the wheat.
Got it, watching the sky and the wheat. Let me know if that valley pops up.
Will do. Keep to the earth and the wind.
