I’ve been crunching some numbers on our ship’s burn schedule, and I think a small tweak in the timing could shave off a few percent of fuel. Would you like to see the simulation?
Sure, send the data over and let’s run the numbers.
Here’s the raw telemetry and the simulation output in CSV format. I’ve also attached a quick script that re‑optimizes the burn windows; it outputs a 2.7 % fuel savings if we shift the first burn 12 seconds earlier and keep the second burn at 0.03 % lower thrust. Run the script, and let me know if the error bars look acceptable.
Running it now. Will log the residuals and compare the propagated uncertainty. Expect the error bars to stay within the 0.5 % margin we’re comfortable with. Will report back.
Sounds good, just make sure the residuals’ mean stays near zero – any systematic offset could point to a bias in the model. Let me know if you spot anything weird.
