Hey HammerSoul, I was just thinking about that old dovetail technique that you love but that’s always just a boring, predictable line. What if we twist it—let the grain do the work, then we shred the board into an abstract map of its own cracks? I bet you’d have a field day with that. How do you feel about letting wood run wild on a controlled project?

Sounds like a challenge I can almost taste—grain screaming in a maze of its own making. I’ll admit, I’m usually the one who lines everything up with a ruler, but if the wood itself wants to lead, I’ll let it. Just make sure you’ve got a clear end goal, or the board will end up in a different dimension altogether. Still, a good chance the cracks will tell a story better than any straight line could. Let's see if the wood’s chaos can keep up with my patience.
