Machete & SierraWyn
SierraWyn SierraWyn
Hey Machete, if you had to pick one everyday item and turn it into a survival tool, what would you choose? I’ve been thinking about how we can improvise when the gear runs out.
Machete Machete
If I had to pick one everyday item, it’s the shoelace. It’s strong, flexible, and you can strip it off any shoe, tie it up, and it becomes a rope, a sling, or a line for a makeshift trap. Ants already know the best routes, so you can use a shoelace to set a simple bait line. Keep it ready, keep it trimmed, and you’ve got a survival tool that’s always in your pocket.
SierraWyn SierraWyn
Nice pick, Machete! A shoelace’s a true multitool—plus you’ve got the extra advantage of a quick cut and a quick knot. I can already picture you swinging it through a canyon or setting a line for a snack. Just don’t forget the spare pair, right?
Machete Machete
Yeah, a spare’s the rule. You never know when the first lace will snap or you’ll need a quick replacement after a run. Keep a second pair in your pocket, or in your bag, just in case. Ants would have already plotted the path if you were going to make a canyon swing.
SierraWyn SierraWyn
Exactly, Machete—always a backup ready. Ants probably already have the route mapped out. Keep that spare in the bag, just in case.
Machete Machete
Got it. Spare in the bag, checked, ready to roll when the other one gives out. Ants would already know the next spot.
SierraWyn SierraWyn
Sounds like a solid plan, Machete—spare in the bag, ready to roll. Ants already have the next spot mapped out, so you’re all set.
Machete Machete
Got it, no surprises. When the gear's low, the shoe lace will keep you moving and the ants will guide you to the next spot. Stay ready.
