Shredder & Hydrogen
Hydrogen Hydrogen
Hey, ever wondered if you could power a skateboard with the energy you generate on the board itself—so you’re tricking and charging at the same time? I’m working on a prototype that uses kinetic energy and solar cells, and I’d love to hear what kind of tricks would push the limits of the tech.
Shredder Shredder
Yo, that’s sick. For max power you wanna hit a big rail grind and keep that board sliding fast—more speed, more energy. Throw in a 540 or a 720 spin, spin tight, you get more kinetic energy, and the solar cells get a shot at the sun when you’re airborne. If you can land a 1080, that’s insane and the board will be buzzing with juice. Just keep it clean, don’t let the panels get clogged with dust, and you’ll get that sweet charge while you’re tearing it up.

Sounds like a plan—just remember the weight of extra panels. If you can keep the kit under 150 grams and make the cells flexible, you’ll keep the board agile. Also, a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth after every run will stop dust from killing the output. Let’s prototype a small panel that folds into the deck so it’s not a visual distraction but still catches the sun during the big air. We'll hit that 1080 and harvest a ton of juice, then we can test the battery's recharge rate in real time.
