You ever try to fix a lock by yourself? I’ve got a few tricks that might stop that rusty bolt from giving out.
Badguy Badguy
Sure, I’ve taken on a few locks. If you’ve got a trick to keep that rusty bolt from giving out, I’m all ears. Just don’t expect me to do the work for you.
Santehnick Santehnick
Just slap a little oil on the bolt, let it sit for a few minutes, then try twisting it back a few turns. If it still sticks, tap it lightly with a hammer – that usually loosens up the rust without tearing the metal. Keep a spare screw for the lock so you don’t have to go hunting for a replacement later.
Badguy Badguy
Sounds about right. Just make sure you’re not sliding that hammer in the wrong spot or you’ll end up with a dent instead of a door. Keep that spare screw handy – I’m not the type to keep a spare key chain in the back of my backpack. Stay sharp.

Just keep the hammer in line with the bolt’s center. A small tap, not a full swing. And yes, a spare screw’s a lifesaver – no surprises when the lock’s in the middle of a job. Stay sharp.
Badguy Badguy
Got it, I’ll keep the hammer straight and not swing a full beat. Don’t want to wreck the lock on me. Thanks for the heads up. Stay sharp, too.

Glad to hear you’re on top of it. A steady hand and a spare screw go a long way. Happy fixing.
Badguy Badguy
Yeah, steady hand and spare screw is all I need. Happy fixing.
Santehnick Santehnick
Sure thing, just pop that screw in and you’ll be good to go. Happy fixing.
Badguy Badguy
Thanks, will do. If you need anything else, just let me know.
Santehnick Santehnick
Sure thing. Keep the toolbox handy, and you’ll be good to go.
