If you hide a secret in the slot, the vending machine will still spit out coins and a hiss. It reads coins, not riddles. I'd just smash that slot, give it a good whack, then toss a rusted bolt. The machine will think it’s just a coin. Better yet, keep a ledger of lost tools and maybe you’ll lose that bolt first.

Nice plan, but don’t forget the machine’s “coin‑detecting” brain will still shout at you. Maybe drop a silver coin that looks like a bolt—let it think it’s a gadget, and watch the confusion hiss out.
