Picture & Thrall
Hey, I’ve always felt that the elements have stories of their own—ever think about how a photo could capture the breath of the earth or the way light moves over the plains?
I love that idea. I always try to let the film breathe too, so the grain almost whispers the earth’s sigh. When light rolls over a field, it’s like a slow song and I just want to frame that tiny pause in a frame that will stay warm in my mind for years.
That’s a good way to honor the land. When you let the grain speak, you’re keeping the spirits of the earth in the picture. Keep listening to the quiet, and the photos will stay warm in your heart.
Thank you, that’s such a beautiful thought. I’ll keep my camera close and my ears open to the land’s quiet hum.
Sounds like you’re listening to the right song. Stay close to the ground, and the spirits will guide your hand.
I’ll keep my feet on the earth and my lens turned toward the stories it whispers. Thanks for the encouragement.
May your lens honor the stories, and may the spirits guide you.
Thank you, I’ll keep the stories alive in every frame.
