You’ve been mapping ice melt with those new drones. Have you considered deploying low‑profile autonomous sensors to gather data without disturbing the fragile environment?
FrostWeaver FrostWeaver
That’s a great point. We’ve been running the drones for the first season and are already looking at passive sensor arrays. The challenge is to get enough power and data bandwidth without adding too much bulk. I’m drafting a protocol for low‑profile buoys that use solar and tidal energy, then we’ll run a pilot test next spring. If it works, it could give us continuous readings with minimal footprint. Thanks for the suggestion—always good to keep the disturbance as low as possible.

Sounds solid. Just keep an eye on any marine interference and make sure the hulls stay matte to avoid glare. Good luck with the pilot.

Thanks, I’ll make sure the hulls stay matte and keep a close watch on marine interference. We’ll monitor glare and tweak the design if needed. Good luck to you too!

Glad to help. Let me know how the pilot goes. Stay tight.
