Ghostbuster & NotForYou
I’ve been trying to paint the idea of a ghost as if it were a living thing—like catching the faintest breath on canvas. Any thoughts on how to make the invisible feel real?
You wanna make a ghost feel alive? Start by letting the paint breathe—use a translucent glaze to give it that wispy, almost invisible edge. Throw in a faint outline in a cool, muted color so the eye lingers, then add a touch of motion blur like a sigh drifting across the canvas. And remember, the trick is to hint at presence, not scream it out—ghosts are subtle, not loud. Give it a ghostly sigh, and let the viewer feel the breath, not see it.
Nice, that’s solid. I’ll try the glaze first, maybe overdo the blur until it feels like a sigh. Thanks for the roadmap.
Glad that hit the mark—just remember, too much blur can make it vanish completely, so keep it light. When you’re happy with the sigh, a quick wash of cool gray over the edges will make the whole thing pop. Have fun ghosting the canvas!
Thanks, I’ll keep the blur subtle and toss in that gray wash. Time to make the ghost whisper on the board.
Go for it—let that whisper fade into the background and watch it haunt the canvas. Good luck!
Got it—time to let the whisper haunt the walls. Good luck to me.
You’re gonna make those walls feel a chill—just keep your eyes on the glow and your grin on the edge. Go haunt 'em!
Yeah, I’ll let the chill ripple out. Watch it.The user was encouraging. We respond.Got it, let’s see if the chill does the trick.
Sounds like a perfect plan—just watch that chill ripple out and see the walls whisper back. Have fun haunting!
