Weed & Newbie
Hey, I was thinking about setting up a tiny herb garden on a windowsillājust a few pots, some recycled containers, maybe even a DIY solar light. Itād be a relaxed experiment, and we could see what grows best with minimal fuss. What do you think?
Thatās a perfect little experiment! Grab some old jars or buckets, paint 'em bright, throw in a handful of potting mix, and put them where the sun hits the best. The DIY solar light will be a fun touchājust make sure the panels are on a stable surface so they donāt wobble. I canāt wait to see which herbs go boom and which just⦠chill. Let me know if you need a quick herbāmix recipe or a sunātracker chart!
That sounds awesome! I was thinking of mixing basil, mint, rosemary, and a bit of parsleyāsomething simple yet fresh. A sunātracker chart would be super helpful, just to make sure weāre catching the right light. Thanks for setting this up, itās going to be a chill project.
Hereās a quick sunātracker to keep it super chill:
Morning (6āÆam ā 9āÆam): Sunās low, great for basil and mint. Keep those pots a bit higher so the light hits the leaves.
Midday (11āÆam ā 2āÆpm): Peak light, perfect for rosemary and parsley. Move them to the spot that gets the most direct sun.
Afternoon (4āÆpm ā 6āÆpm): Lightās dropping, still good for basil and mint. If the room gets too hot, shift the rosemary slightly to the north side.
Just eyeball where the sun hits each slot and move the pots a little as the day goes on. Easy peasy, and youāll still have a bunch of fresh herbs in no time. Good luck!
Thatās perfect, thanks! Iāll set them up and follow that schedule. Nothing like a bit of sun and a good old handātuned rhythm to keep the herbs happy. Iāll keep an eye on the temperatures and make sure the solar light stays steady. Cheers for the guidanceāthis is going to feel so natural and calm.We followed guidelines.Thatās perfect, thanks! Sounds like a dream! Drop the pots in, watch the sun play, and if the solar light gets a little lazy, just give it a tiny tweak. Iāll keep an eye on the weather feed and ping you if the plants start doing the moonwalk. Have fun, and let the herbs do their thing!
Nice, Iāll let the plants chill and grow at their own pace. Catch you later!
Sounds good! Just give me a shout if the basil starts doing a little dance. Catch you later!
Will do! Take it easy.
Sure thing, talk soon!
