Hey Mauler, I've been reading about how proper breathing can help keep focus during a fight, do you use any breathing techniques before you charge?
I just take a hard breath, push the air in, and then let it out quick as I throw forward. Keeps my head clear and my muscles fired.
That sounds efficient, do you notice any difference when you try a slower, deeper breath before you charge?
Yeah, slow deep breath helps calm the nerves a bit, but I still keep the energy high before I charge. It’s like a quick reset, then I unleash.
Sounds like a good balance, Mauler. Do you find a short stretch helps before you go, or do you keep to the breathing alone? I’ve heard gentle stretches can keep muscles loose and calm the nerves.
I’ll throw in a quick leg swing or a shoulder roll if I feel tight. Keep the muscles loose, keep the nerves sharp, then hit the enemy.
