Furbolg & Magnum
You ever had to track a group of enemies through a maze of streets? Our tribe fights in open fields, but I hear your city streets are a different battlefield. What's your strategy for closing a case in a place where the shadows hide more than just criminals?
You track ‘em like a trail of fingerprints in rain – every puddle, every broken window tells a story. First thing, I split the city into pockets, then I watch the night traffic, the whispers of the bars, the footfall in the alleys. I plant a couple of informants, drop a listening device near the corner where they always meet, and then I let the shadows do the talking. No one walks alone in the city, so I keep a shadow beside me, ready to cut off a path the moment one of ‘em tries to slip through. In the end, it’s about tightening the net – close in from all sides until the city’s dark corners collapse. That's how you close a case in a maze that hides more than just crimes.
Sounds like a solid plan. Just keep an eye on the honor of your methods; even in the city, the law should still respect the people. Good work.
