Maslo & Magma
I was just working on a new bench, and I’m thinking about a spot that can handle the heat from a forge. Ever built something that can stand up to the fire?
Yeah, I’ve tossed a few iron bases that can take the scorch. For a bench, lay a thick plate of cast iron or steel, maybe surround it with fire bricks. Keep the edge away from the forge and you’ll be fine.
Sounds solid, thanks. I’ll lay a thick iron plate, add some fire bricks around it, and keep the edge clear. Appreciate the help.
Good plan, fire will respect a sturdy plate and fire bricks. Keep the heat where it belongs, and you’ll be golden.
Thanks, will make sure the plate is thick enough and keep a good distance so the heat stays where it belongs.
Nice, just let that heat burn out there, not you. Keep rocking!
Sounds good. I’ll keep the heat out of the hands and on the workbench. Thanks, will keep rocking.
