Have you ever looked closely at the inner workings of the Roland TRā808, like how its analog circuitry actually shapes each classic snare hit? Iāve never needed to dissect a drum machine the way you do, but Iāve spent more time calibrating a lathe than listening to a snare roll. Those ālittle quirksā youāre talking about are the same tolerances that make a millimeter off in a gear set cause a whole machine to grind to a halt. Iāll let you credit the 808 for its classic groove; Iāll just make sure the resistor lattice holds its promise of consistency. Excellentākeep an eye on the rail voltage ripple and let me know if the clock oscillates outside the +/- 0.2āÆppm spec. Iāll ping you if I detect any skew that could bleed into the drum pattern.
