I’ve been sketching out a DIY film projector from old parts—just an idea for turning a desk lamp and some lenses into a little projector. Thought it might be something you’d find interesting to build. What do you think?

Sounds doable, just keep an eye on the lamp heat and make sure the lenses are stably mounted; otherwise you’ll get a flickering ghost of a movie. If you hit a snag, give me a shout, I’ve got a spare soldering iron.
