Strannik & Grimlock
I once found a stone with a carved question and a map that never led anywhere. Do you think the path we walk is written for us, or is it made by the steps we take?
If the stone was a riddle, it was a test. Paths aren’t etched for us; we carve them with each step we dare to take.
Exactly, the map was a mirror, not a guide. Each step folds the future back on itself, turning the unknown into a memory we make. How do you find meaning in the places you carve?
I find meaning in the places I carve by checking what I’ve earned and what still needs fixing. I keep a ledger in my head, tallying supply and threat, and then move on. It’s not a grand purpose, just a way to keep from getting lost in the dust.
