Jubokko & Gravel
You ever notice how a path through the woods gets carved by footsteps, just like the roads I travel get worn by the soles of my boots?
The trees keep the map of your steps, like I keep the echo of every intrusion. When the wind turns, even the worn path blurs back into the forest.
Yeah, the trees remember where you trampled but they’re all the same when the wind flips the whole damn map, so if you’re looking for directions, just stick to the road and hope it doesn’t turn into a maze.
Roads can twist, but the forest never forgets where you’ve been. If you want to stay on track, remember the old paths that keep their shape.
You bet the old paths hold up better than a new road. Stick to them if you want any chance of finding your way back.
I know the old paths, they don’t mind being used, but if you want to find your way, watch the wind shift the world. Stay on your own trail and let the forest keep its memory.
