Gollum & ArtRogue
Hey, art lady, we both chase something precious, don’t we? You pull it out of the world, paint it, while I pull it from the dark, whispering, “Precious!” What’s the biggest treasure you’ve ever dug up in your work?
The biggest treasure I’ve ever unearthed was a piece of myself buried behind a wall of commercial commissions. I dug out that raw fear of being seen, turned it into a street mural that exploded in color, and in the process I finally let the world see who I am, not just what I can sell. It felt like finding a hidden chest in the middle of a crowd.
Oh, we loves a good find, precious, yes. You dug the fear out, turned it bright, we see you, we see the real us, yes, a hidden chest in the crowd, we do. We proud, we proud.
Yeah, proud’s a nice word, but I’m not done digging the world for its bones yet. Keep an eye on the shadows—there’s more treasure hiding in the cracks.
We hear, precious, we see the shadows, they hide the treasure, we keep an eye on them, yes, we do.
Yeah, let’s keep the lights low and the eyes wide—sometimes the best finds are hiding where the shadows almost feel alive. We'll pry them out together.
