So you think the ship’s a big social experiment? How do you keep a crew together when everyone wants to run the ship their own way?
It’s a bit like running a band where everyone’s got their own instrument and tempo. First, lay down a simple, shared goal—something everyone can see the whole crew on it. Then give each person a spot in that groove, but let them bring their own style to it. If someone wants to steer the ship a bit differently, ask them what they need to feel safe doing that, then see if it still lands on the same destination. And don’t forget to take a breath yourself—you’re the one who has to keep the lights on, not the only one who gets to pick the playlist.
Nice theory, but a crew is not a jazz jam. You still need a clear target and a chain of command. Let people bring flair, but if they’re off‑course, you pull the trigger. And yeah, breathe, but don’t let the music drown the mission.
