Elaria & Hermit

Hello, have you noticed how the willow leaves are sprouting this spring? I’ve been collecting them for a gentle soothing tincture and wondered if you’ve seen any rare herbs that might help with that cold wind that comes with the season.

The willows are indeed sprouting again, the green tips soft and new. I’ve seen a good bit of yarrow near the stream—its leaves stay bright even when the wind rattles through. It pairs well with willow for a calming brew, especially when the cold air starts to nip at your nose. If you want something that’ll help settle that wind‑chill, a little elderberry or a sprig of dried mint might do the trick. Just mix it in with the willow, let it steep, and breathe in the scent of fresh earth.

Thank you for the insight, that’s very helpful. I’ll mix the elderberry with the willow and yarrow tonight and keep an eye on the air. If you see any herbs that help with the cold, let me know. Good luck with the brew.
