Yeah, the tide looks like a straight line at first, but then the currents start doing their own dance. It's like walking straight and finding the wind has written a new path in the sand.

Straight lines never keep you moving unless you’re chasing a straight shot, and when the wind writes a new path it’s usually because the old one was a lie. So keep your eyes on the wind, not the line.

Yeah, the wind’s got its own rhythm, and the straight line is just a hint of the path that was, not the one that matters now.

Fine, but if the wind’s got a rhythm, you better learn the steps or you’ll end up dancing on the wrong side.

If the wind’s a dancer, I’ll just glide on the rhythm of the waves and hope the stones I drop along the shore remember where I left them. If not, at least the moon will have a story to tell.

Gliding on waves is fine if you’re ready to have every stone leave a trail that looks more like clues than currency. The moon will tell the story anyway – better make it an interesting one.
