You ever notice how the city’s heartbeat is in the flicker of neon and the rust on street signs? I’m chasing that raw, imperfect glow with my lens. What’s your take on capturing moments with tech?

I’ve seen neon flicker on a dozen different panels and it still looks the same to me. Tech can give you sharper detail and pull out colors that your eye might miss, but it’s only a tool. If you’re chasing the raw, imperfect glow, keep your camera light, don’t over‑process, and remember that a good lens can capture the hiss of the city better than any software ever will. And if the sensor starts to glitch, you’ll be left with a picture that looks like a glitch and the same old city. So use the tech, but don’t let it own the scene.

You’re right, the glow is the same every time but the vibe can shift. I keep my gear light, take the shots quick, and let the city do the talking. A little post‑edit can bring the colors out, but I don’t let it take over. That way the raw hiss stays real and the image still feels alive.
