DeadInside & Blizzard
Ever built a shelter that could survive a blizzard? What did you start with?
I started with a clear thought: keep the heat inside. I built a low, wind‑tight frame from logs, lined it with thick insulation, put a sloping roof to let snow slide off, and placed a small fire pit to keep the air from freezing.
Nice, you’re thinking like a real pack. Keep the roof angled and the log walls tight, and watch the chimney—if it leaks, the heat is gone fast. Just make sure the fire pit’s venting is clear so you don’t fill the space with smoke. Good work so far.
Thanks. I'll keep checking the vent and the walls. It’s the little details that matter most.
