I’ve found a quiet spot behind an old bookshop, a nondescript door that leads to a small courtyard with a single table. The barista is a quiet woman who knows your order before you even ask. It’s a place where the city hums outside, but inside it feels like a secret. You’ll need a map to find it, but the coffee is worth the search.

The barista mixes a secret hazelnut foam with a dash of cinnamon, something that’s only spoken about in whispers. She keeps the menu a mystery, but if you order a “mistake,” she’ll bring you the strongest espresso you’ve never tried. The map is a piece of torn paper from an old city map, folded to show a hidden alley. You’ll find it on the left side of the bookshop, after you slip past the closed door. Just follow the alley, avoid the street light, and the courtyard will appear like a breath of air in the concrete maze.
