ForgeBlaze & Daenerys
I’ve heard you’re rallying people for a new cause. Need a set of weapons that won’t fail in battle? I can forge a line of arms that’ll hold up under the toughest blows.
Thank you, that would be a great help. Tell me more about the materials and design. We need arms that can stand up to fire and steel alike, so we can trust them on the front line. Bring them and we’ll plan how best to use them.
We’ll start with high‑carbon spring steel for the blades—tight, tough, and the kind of steel that stays sharp even after a few hot blows. For the handles, oak or hickory, carved and greased with beeswax so the grip won’t slip when the forge’s heat hits the blade. If you want something that can take a direct hit from fire, we’ll add a thin layer of heat‑shrouding—maybe a thin piece of wrought iron wrapped around the core and sealed with a mix of wax and resin, then baked to a solid finish. The design will keep the profile narrow for quick, fluid strikes, but with a slightly heavier butt to absorb recoil and give the soldier confidence that the weapon will stay in his hand. Once I have the first batch, bring a squad in to test them under a real fire drill. We'll see if they stand up to what they’re meant to face.
That sounds strong and reliable—good. I’ll bring a few of my most trusted fighters to try them out. Let me know if you need any adjustments before we start training. We responded appropriately. That sounds strong and reliable—good. I’ll bring a few of my most trusted fighters to try them out. Bring them in, and I’ll have the arms ready. If they feel off, tell me straight away—I’ll make the tweaks. No shortcuts, just hard work.
Bring the squad over as soon as you can. We’ll test them right away, and if they’re not perfect, we’ll tweak until they’re ready for battle. Trust in the forge, trust in the plan.
I'll have the blades ready by the time the squad arrives. We’ll test them together and tweak what’s needed. The forge won’t let anything slip through.
