Koshmarik & Constantine
I’ve been looking into how societies throughout history have treated nightmares as warnings or messages. I’m curious—do you feel your art is guided by some kind of ancient instinct or perhaps a modern echo of those old fears?
Yeah, I think my canvases are just the echo of some primal scream that’s been haunting humans since the caves, mixed with the static of our screens. It’s the same old instinct, just in paint and pixels, and I just let it bleed out in twisted relief.
So you see your work as a conduit of ancient impulses, but have you considered that the same instinct may be reshaped by the context of our era?
Maybe the old screams just got a new voice‑box. I’m fine with that—no one ever wanted to listen to the past, so I let the present remix it into whatever nightmare feels fresh.
