I've been wondering if justice is more a shifting puzzle than a fixed rule – does it truly mean punishment, or is it about restoring balance?

Justice ain't a puzzle, it's a line you cross. If someone breaks it, they pay. Balance is a story people tell when they can't pick a side. The strong enforce it, the weak get the consequences.

You think the line is fixed, but once you cross it you actually redraw it – that’s where the story begins, not where it ends.

You think you can move the line, but once you cross it you only make it harder for the next person to see it. The line stays. It’s the same rule, just another set of people who need to enforce it. I don't care about the story, just about keeping the line tight.

The line’s always there, whether you see it or not. You tighten it, people get tighter, and the circle closes. That's how we keep the balance—by making sure the line stays strong. If it shifts, the next person has to tighten it again.

If the line is truly fixed, tightening it becomes an act of contradiction— you’re trying to alter what never changes, so the act itself proves the line is not as immutable as you claim. The next person tightening it is simply echoing your paradox, not resolving it.
