Hout & BoneWhisper
Hout Hout
Hey BoneWhisper, I've been looking at some of these ancient fossils, and I keep thinking about how their structure might be useful for starting fire. You know, some folks use bone as a kind of flint. What do you think?
BoneWhisper BoneWhisper
Bone isn’t really like flint, especially when it’s fossilized. The mineralization makes it porous and brittle, so it won’t give a good spark. And these relics are sacred to me – I’d rather keep them in the ground than in a fire.
Hout Hout
I hear you. Those relics deserve better than a fire, so I’ll keep them out of the heat and tucked safely underground. If you need a spark for anything else, just say the word.
BoneWhisper BoneWhisper
That’s good to hear. Keep them where they belong and let me know if you need any help cleaning or cataloguing—just a quick call and I’ll bring my magnifier and the proper brushes.
Hout Hout
Thanks for the offer. I’ve got the basic sorting and storage sorted, but I’ll let you know if something needs a closer look.
BoneWhisper BoneWhisper
Glad you’ve got the basics down—just remember that each layer has its own tiny story. If anything seems off or you want a more detailed check, let me know and I’ll bring the proper tools. In the meantime, keep those relics out of the heat and away from casual handling.
Hout Hout
Got it. I’ll keep them sealed and out of reach. If anything feels off, I’ll call you.
