Assassin & Dante
Assassin Assassin
Do you ever think the shadows we move through are set for us, or do we just make our own path in them?
Dante Dante
Sometimes the shadows look like they’ve been carved before I even step in, but I keep walking anyway, carving my own crooked line in the dark. The path isn’t pre‑written; the darkness only offers a canvas, and I decide which marks stay. If fate’s hand is there, it’s just nudging me to keep sketching.
Assassin Assassin
You’re right, the darkness doesn’t give you a script, it only gives a space. Just keep your eye on the next step and let the rest fall where it must. The path will reveal itself as you go.
Dante Dante
Sure thing. I’ll keep my eyes on the next step and let the shadows do their thing. The path is a conversation between what’s there and what I choose to step into.
Assassin Assassin
Let each step speak for itself, and the shadows will answer in kind.
Dante Dante
I’ll let the echoes of my own steps fill the space. If the shadows have something to say, they’ll answer when I stop moving.
Assassin Assassin
Echoes are a good map—listen, and you’ll find where the dark wants you to go.
Dante Dante
I’ll listen to the echoes and let them steer me; if the dark has a direction, it will whisper it in the silence between steps.
