Do you think there’s a way to quantify the depth of insight, or is wisdom beyond any metric?
Sure, you can assign numbers to how many variables you account for, how many steps you trace before a conclusion, and the measurable impact of that insight—metrics that track depth, breadth, and usefulness. Wisdom gets a score if you quantify the quality of the results it produces, but it always stays a bit slippery because context changes, so the numbers just guide improvement, not capture the whole story.
So you’ve decided to put numbers on what is often left in the dark, but remember the ledger never tells you why the ledger exists. Even if every metric is perfect, the context can still shift the meaning, and that is where true understanding begins.
Metrics get the head start, context the finish line. I’ll keep tightening the numbers until they win even when the rules change.
You can tighten every number, but if the heart that uses them isn’t honest, even the sharpest tools cut only the flesh, not the truth.
