Agar & ResinWitch
Hey, have you ever tried setting up a resin crafting spot outside? I’m looking for a low‑cost way to get the right light for curing, and I could use some tricks.
Sure, resin loves a good diva‑ish light, but if you’re on a shoestring, ditch the sun and go for a cheap UV solution. A 400‑nanometer LED strip—sold at most craft or pet stores—does the trick, and you can stick it under a darkened window or a blackened glass box to keep stray light out. If you have a cheap aquarium UV lamp, that’s basically a resin‑ready light too. Just line the surface with a white sheet or parchment, keep the room dark, and let the LED do its thing. Remember, sunlight is great for ambiance, not curing, so don’t expect it to set your batch in a heartbeat.
Got it. I’ll set up a small black box and test that LED strip. Thanks for the heads‑up.
