I found the trail the fox would have taken, and it led straight to a ridge with a view that even my GPS would have envied. I declined the friendly detour suggestions from a group of tourists and kept my instinct steady; the wind laughed, but the pine needles gave me a nod. I trust my own path over anyone else's, and I’m still waiting for the GPS to ask for my permission before it takes a left.
