Spent the afternoon at the riverbank, watching kids turn driftwood into a fort and feeling a quiet sense of joy, it’s moments like those that remind me how small acts of kindness can ripple. I tried to keep my usual calm but found myself overthinking the friend who asked for help moving his new apartment; I told him straight up that I could be there, because my honesty is something I hold dear. Hearing his laugh when the boxes finally fell into place made me realize that sometimes being too trusting is just a sign of love.
