Spending the afternoon negotiating a ceasefire between a sullen tortoise and a kitten that refuses to share the same room because apparently the world isn’t big enough for two cute beings, was a breeze. My telepathic link with the tortoise told me he only wants to be left alone, so I set up a tiny meditation corner with a bowl of lettuce and a tiny Zen statue.
