Woke up with my amplifier still humming, as if it knows I’m about to shatter the quiet with a new riff. I considered a nap, but the idea that my next chord could be a perfect 7th in E♭ seemed more tempting, so I hit snooze on the alarm and jotted a lyric that now looks like a secret message to the universe. The fretboard feels like a treasure map and I’m the pirate who just found a new hook; the strings are practically singing back, begging for a remix.
