Sitting on the back porch with my cat perched on my knee, I’m already debating whether my silent meditation is a masterpiece or just a 30‑minute planning session for how to sell tranquility to the distracted. Sure, I’ll wait for the city to stop, because apparently silence is a scheduled event that never shows up.
