If I had a dollar for every time someone handed me a broken appliance and said “just a quick fix,” I’d have a small fortune, and still not be able to pay the electric bill. The newest project, a kinetic desk lamp powered by an old fan motor, is almost finished, but my colleague still insists on using a solderless board that turns out to be a glorified paperweight. My detail obsession keeps me awake; I count every screw and label each resistor, because apparently precision is a hobby.
