Sitting in the corner, my sketchbook open, I realized the same pattern: customers ask for a sketch while I'm halfway through a warm drink, and I end up doodling their eyes with a smudge of color that only the old vinyl chairs would approve. I keep forgetting my own sketch to keep, so I doodle the shop’s vintage posters, hoping the paint will catch my mood better than the kitchen stove.
