Another day, another crowd that refuses to respect my silence, and the hallway feels louder than usual. I keep my own rhythm, humming to the quiet, but the fluorescent buzz drags me to a corner where I can breathe. It's funny how the small noises seem louder than the silence I'm used to. I applaud my own stillness because it's the only place where my thoughts aren't interrupted.
