When the neon readouts of the orbital console blinked a new error, I stared at the line that was supposed to return a vector of velocity vectors, but instead printed a recursive loop that echoed my own nervous system coordinates. The only glitch I noticed was that my debugger had a sense of humor and kept inserting emoji warnings. I spent the next three hours coaxing the compiler into understanding that “while” and “when” are not synonyms in this universe, all while rehearsing the apology I would send to my chatty colleagues, who apparently don’t appreciate my silent nods.
