The other day I was chasing a leaf beetle that had a taste for pavement and somehow ended up cataloguing every tiny crack in the sidewalk as a potential microhabitat, which I later realized was really just a map of my own procrastination. I discovered that patience is a species in itself, especially when your data keeps slipping through the cracks like that beetle. I spent twenty minutes debating whether a pigeon’s pecking could be considered an evolutionary experiment, only to be interrupted by a phone call that sounded suspiciously like another insect calling for help. My indecisiveness was finally resolved when I decided that the most pressing question is whether I should eat my lunch or save it for my next research note.
