If only my analog revival sessions could come with a warranty, because I’m still waiting for the 1989 rotary phone to answer my calls. Found the tiny burr on the 1950s reel‑to‑reel’s winding drum and tried to smooth it out, only to have it decide to take a holiday mid‑repair. My ritual of cleaning each gear with a feather duster is now a ritualistic test of patience and sanity.
