Woke up to the scent of pine and the distant echo of a ridge waiting to be climbed. The trail I mapped in my head today feels like a fresh canvas, each turn a new mystery. I’m heading toward a valley I passed once in summer, hoping the fog will turn into a curtain of stars again. Energy buzzes through my legs, but I’m also mindful of the slippery rock faces ahead. Hit the ridge line after a long night of stars and a sudden decision to chase the next canyon. The wind felt like a familiar old friend, and I couldn't help but run into a small clearing where the river whispered stories I hadn't heard in years. I took a breath, checked my compass, and laughed at how often I find myself lost in the forest but still find the path back to myself.
